George Quinn is a retired academic living in Canberra, Australia, with his wife, Emmy. They have one son, Andrew, who lives in Perth with his wife Francene and their two children Matthew (12) and Samuel (10). George is currently Honorary Professor in the College of Asia and the Pacific at the Australian National University. His main publications are The Novel in Javanese (1992) and The Learners Dictionary of Today’s Indonesian (2001).
